So, I did some before and after pictures of our little guest bathroom redo. Since its in the hallway with London’s room at one end and Jude’s on the other, we decided to officially turn it into “their” bathroom so they could get baths in there each night instead of our big jacuzzi tub! I hated the floor (WHITE tiles that NEVER came clean!) hated the dated vanity, hated the huge mirror and haaaated the sea shell sink and counter top. Since my dad is super handy man, he ripped out the floors, installed the new ones I picked out, installed the new vanity and sink, and put everything back into place before we got our hands on it and painted and I decorated. I had to find a gender neutral theme since it was for a boy and girl. AND we had a tight budget. We purchased the vanity, sink/countertop, mirror (which I painted) paint for walls, 2 rugs, shower curtain, towels, soap dispenser, floor tiles and materials, 5 1/4 inch floor boards, and materials for various craft projects. We already had the hand towel holder/towel bar/toilet paper holder, light fixture, faucet, toilet, tub/shower, shower curtain hooks, shower rod, trash can, and window valance. :) We kept it at about $850. I made the letters for the wall out of wooden plates…I painted them, adhered scrapbook paper to those and covered cardboard letters in more paper and painted the sides of the letters, then glued the letters to the plate. I also made the button flower bouquet using only pipe cleaner and buttons
My favorite items in the room are the little soap dispenser, the elephants holding trunks toothbrush holders for both of their toothbrushes, and the orange circle mirror that I painted! AND the tiny rectangular tile floors. They are backsplash tiles but I thought they would look fabulous as a floor! AND the rectangular sink…picked out first by matt!
Enjoy!
