Gatlinburg Family Vacation 2011

In October of this year we traveled and met my parents and brother in Gatlinburg, TN…a vacation spot we went to almost every year when I was growing up!  Matt has only been once (with us while we were dating) and we haven’t been back in 7 or 8 years…so this was really nice and I was super excited!  Those of you who know me and us know that I LOVE traveling, but that for the first 5 years of our marriage the ONLY vacation we had was our honeymoon because Matt was in pharmacy school and I was shooting so many weddings we literally could not leave or go on vacation.  So this was amazing!  I had planned this trip for our family from choosing the cabin to the exact week when I thought the leaves would be at their most beautiful…and I was right!  When we arrived at the cabin and pulled up to that view we were dumbstruck!  The cabin had 3 stories in it…the middle was the kitchen and great room area and a huge back deck with a view that would take your breath away.  The top floor were the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the bottom floor was THE best!  It was the gameroom, deck with jacuzzi, and movie theater!  It was so cool!  That’s where we spent most of our time and London LOVED watching Wall-E on that big screen.  Andy, my brother, taught her how to play Golden Tee (the arcade game…for real) and air hockey.  Plus there was a pool table and she was getting pretty good and rolling the balls in the pockets too;)

We went to the strip of GBurg once, went to eat a few times, went to the amazing Ripley’s aquarium, and went on a picnic into the mountains…and my mom and I went outlet shopping…but most of the time we just stayed in the amazing cabin and relaxed!  It was so much fun.  So, please enjoy some pictures from our cabin (check out the views fro our bedroom in the first picture on the bottom right) our avdentures ar the aquarium, what happens when we tell London to smile, our picnic, and various other things we did that week!
